Barn Raising

Filed under: Uncategorized — Judah @ 9:19 pm

This week (and next) OCS (Oaxaca Christian School) is enclosing a large octagonal thing to be class rooms and a chapel. So Mon-Wed I worked on the tin roof and today I worked on framing for drywall. Good times.

Awesome

Filed under: Uncategorized — Judah @ 9:51 pm

On Wednesday I went with the Andersens to “their” village. The landscape was awesome, and I’m not one to use that term lightly. It was very nice to be around green again. And “the gorge” is the fourth thing to be put on my list of beautiful things. This was a bit random sorry. There are pictures at http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2000686&l=88a66&id=1477770056

Ugh

Filed under: Uncategorized — Judah @ 11:05 pm

So, apparently the water wasn’t clean. I woke up yesterday morning and could barely hear anything. I bought some drops from a farmacia and they seem to be working. But the lady at the farmacia said it will probably take around four days to completely regain my hearing, blah.

Clean water, oh how I love the stuff

Filed under: Uncategorized — Judah @ 9:29 am

Yesterday I went swimming, my first time since coming down here (I am not counting some swimming that I have mentioned in the past because the water was to disgusting). Then at night I watched Sense and Sensibility and decided that I like P and P better and that the title doesn’t make much sense.

Of parties and tacos

Filed under: Uncategorized — Judah @ 5:54 pm

Yesterday we had a surprise birthday party for Tim Loker. It was such a surprise that he thought it was for someone else (his birthday is in a month and a half). Afterwards I went to tacos with the Andersens and Beathams. Today I have started to linseed oil the playground, blah.

This title has nothing to do with this post.

Today I went with Mrs. Andersen to Puebla (where everybody has been at camp for four days). After a rally thing we went to Carl Jr’s for lunch, followed by Krispy Kremes (amazing). After lunch I transferred myself from the Andersens’ car to the bus with all the campers. The ride home was very interesting (there weren’t enough seats for everyone) and fun.

Gone

Filed under: Uncategorized — Judah @ 6:26 pm

Today was the last day of FES.  We had a closing ceremony then watched a movie. When I got back from the movie my toilet was gone. Apparently the pipe in the wall behind  it had a leak and the only way to get at it was by removing my toilet. So  for a while I will have to do a bit of walking to relieve myself.

Alone :(

Filed under: Uncategorized — Judah @ 8:36 am

Today all the youth are leaving for four days. This means I will have nobody to do stuff with for the rest of the week. So I am going to work on puzzles and watch Pride and Prejudice (and read some too).

The Final Part

Yes, it’s true, this is my last newsletter

Good Morning, everybody.
I have decided to stop sending these newsletters out and just start writing sort blogs. The reason I am doing this is because I keep on haveing fun little snipits to tell y’all but forget them by the time I write the next newsletter. So I will now just be posting at judahinmexico.fickett.info and xanga.com/tacquard (the former will be your best bet for info). If you would like me to send an email of everything I write over a month at the end of that month, I will do that.

This past weekend we watched part of the BBC series “Planet Earth” Friday night (which we also did the preceding week). Afterwards I went to the Wagners’ and watched Nancy Drew, just a bit on the cheesy side. Saturday I started a 1000 piece puzzle without using the box lid. That night we had a game night followed by “Singing in the Rain.”
