#2 Settling in to Oaxaca

Today is Monday August 27. After “work” on Thursday, Lupino took me into town. Lupino is the son of the couple I am staying with, and we are spending time together to he can improve his English and I can learn Spanish. He does not live with his parents. When we got back to the house, I ate a banana then went to bed. The house I am staying in is very nice. It has two stories and a garden under a hole in the middle of the house. As far as I can tell only the bedrooms and bathrooms have doors from the outdoors (yet inside the house).
On Friday, Nate picked me up at the house and we went to the office. While there I hung poster and white boards on some walls. I then went home and finished The Black Arrow and started Pride and Prejudice. On Saturday I finished Pride and Prejudice.
While here I have learned that there is no difference in the Mexican “b” and “v.” Therefore if you need to distinguish between the two “v” is be (“b”) chica (girl).
On Sunday I went to church with Señora Rosa (my hostess), then went to Mitla with Nate and Abby. Today I came to the office by myself (which requires taking a bus) and then continued to hang stuff on the wall.
